Article Claiming Skyrim Remastered to Feature New Story Content is “Garbage”

Pete Hines shoots down article that claimed to have confirmation Bethesda regarding Skyrim Remastered additional plotlines.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered was announced during Bethesda’s E3 2016 press event. The game will feature updated visuals, bug fixes, DLC packed in one box etc. However, what it will not feature is additional plotlines or story content.

Last month an article was published by what looks like a spam website that claimed to have confirmation from Bethesda itself about additional plotlines. Naturally, the click bait worked but earlier Pete Hines denied it all. According to Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing, the article is “garbage” and holds no truth whatsoever.

Once again this is an example of how fans should not believe everything they see online and reporters should refrain from reporting from such sources.

Just recently, another website called Frag Hero ran many fake news stories. It ran a story confirming Ghosts 2 for 2016 and numerous websites published the news without double checking.

As we now know there is no Ghosts 2 and Infinity Ward is working on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Anyways, coming back to Skyrim Remastered, the game is coming out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Many would have prefered a new The Elder Scrolls game but for now this will have to do. According to Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls will happen but not anytime soon. Currently, the development team is busing working on Prey and other other projects we don’t know about.

There are still two major releases to go before we see anything related to a new The Elder Scrolls game.
