First Wave of Xbox Play Anywhere Games Now Available for Pre-Order on Windows 10 Store

Microsoft has announced that the first wave of Xbox Play Anywhere titles including – Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, and ReCore – is now available for pre-order on Windows 10 Store.

First Wave of Xbox Play Anywhere Titles Available on Windows Store

Announced during Microsoft’s E3 2016 media briefing, Xbox Play Anywhere initiative allows users to crossbuy and crossplay Microsoft exclusives between Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs without any additional cost:

When you start playing any Xbox Play Anywhere game, you can pause and pick back up where you left off on another Xbox One or Windows 10 PC, bringing all your saves, game add-ons, and Achievements with you. In all cases, Xbox Play Anywhere titles act as one game with one account and can be accessed across multiple devices.

As mentioned earlier, this is obviously the first wave of Xbox Play Anywhere games. Microsoft has currently confirmed a total of 12 games that support XPA initiative – here is the complete list:

  • Gears of War 4 – Oct. 11, 2016
  • Forza Horizon 3 – Sept. 27, 2016
  • ReCore – Sept. 16, 2016
  • Sea of Thieves – Sometime in 2017
  • Halo Wars 2 – Feb. 21, 2017
  • Scalebound – Sometime in 2017
  • Killer Instinct Season 3 – Available Now
  • State of Decay 2 – Sometime in 2017
  • Ark: Survival Evolved – Now on Xbox Game Preview
  • Cuphead – Sometime in 2016
  • We Happy Few – Jul. 26, 2016 on Xbox Game Preview
  • Crackdown 3 – Sometime in 2017
