PlayStation 4 Slim have been in the news since last week, following a couple of leaks. However, a new report has surfaced that suggests where these leaks originated.
According to the report from MCV, the stock of the unannounced PlayStation slim console “came from the UAE, which was holding units of the updated hardware reveal ahead of its expected reveal next week”.
The report further states that a small number of PlayStation 4 Slim units were distributed among indie stores and e-bay sellers.
In related news, recently another report regarding PlayStation 4 Slim’s WiFi surfaces. According to the report the slim console will have 5 GHz WiFi support. A user who purchased the leaked PlayStation 4 Slim units, posted images of the console’s manual and UI. The manual clearly sates that the console features 2.4/5 GHz ranges for WiFi module.
Also a video of unboxing of the PlayStation 4 Slim also made its way to internet, which proves that the consoles in indeed real.
PlayStation 4 Slim is slightly smaller than the original PlayStation 4 model, also the controller is identical to the original as far as can tell in terms of its size. But there slight changes made to its finish and lights.
Recently, a U.K based used goods retailer listed the price for the PS4 Slim. According to the site the console is priced at £380.
While the PlayStation 4 Slim has been leaked, but it is been speculated that the console was due to be revealed at PlayStation Meeting.
PlayStation Meeting is scheduled for September 7, almost a week away from now. During the presentation Sony will discuss everything about PlayStation. Sony has also invited the media to the event, and many speculate that the company will also reveal PlayStation NEO.
