Halo Wars 2 is scheduled to release next year, but the fans of this top down strategy game are very excited to get their hands on it. Well, you will not have to wait long if you are attending Gamescom 2016, as players will be able to play the Halo Wars 2 new multiplayer map.
Creative Assembly has announced that Fans of the Halo wars will get a chance to play the Halo Wars 2 new multiplayer map called “Rift” in Strongholds multiplayer mode, which will offer a wide range of options to the players.
According to creative director, Alistair Hope, this new map is a very exciting one. He described the Halo Wars 2 new multiplayer map as:
At the heart of this exciting new map sits a monolithic Forerunner structure that harnesses the power from the subterranean networks beneath the Ark’s surface. Whilst one half of the map is unsullied by war, the other is pitted with large breaches in the surface as the Banished tunnel downwards to plunder the core’s precious resources. Rift is a visually stunning and memorable battleground providing a huge range of cool strategic and tactical options. We can’t wait for fans to fight it out in this new map and to hear their thoughts.
According to Dan Ayoub, the studio head of Strategy Games at 343 Industries, fans will be getting another Halo Wars 2 beta in Early 2017 before the game’s launch.
That is not all, 343 Industries has announced that Halo 5 will be getting more free content. According to the developer, the new DLC for Halo 5 Guardians will bring a plethora of exciting content, along with new features for the Forge mode.
In related news, according to 343 industries the population statistics are not directly comparable between Halo 3 and Halo 5. This statement came in the aftermath of community manager for the Halo series revealed that the number of active players were more than Halo 3.
Halo wars 2 is scheduled to release on February 21, 2017 exclusively for PC and Xbox One.
