Microsoft’s Larry Hryb has confirmed that Xbox One owners will soon be able to turn off the console’s start-up chime.
Microsoft actually decided to go with the feature after feedback from users as confirmed by Major Nelson on Twitter. According to him, the feature will be added in an upcoming update.

In addition to this, he also shared a screenshot detailing how Xbox One owners will be able to get rid of the start-up chime, if they decide to do so. Users will need to open up Console Settings and head over to Power Mode & Startup in order to toggle Startup Chime on or off.

However, do note that Microsoft has not yet confirmed any roll out date for the upcoming update which will bring the said feature to public. We will update you with more information once we hear anything from Microsoft on the matter.
In relevant Xbox One news, Microsoft’s home console managed to outsell Sony’s Playstation 4 in the month of July 2016. According to Xbox Marketing Head Mike Nichols, the trend will continue in the month of August as well.
