Final Fantasy XV is going to take 45GB or more space in your HDD, according to some leaked promotional materials in Japan. The news follows a delay confirmation from Square Enix.
Square Enix just announced a delay which confirmed a recent rumor that Final Fantasy XV won’t release until November. According to Hajime Tabata, the new date will allow developers to complete final polishing and improve some aspects of the game before release.
Final Fantasy XV is something they absolutely want to get right. Tabata stressed that Square Enix wants to make sure the title does not release with issues.
The team hopes to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series, and that the team needs a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this.
Tabata apologized for the delay and asked fans to understand the situation.
It is a disappointment but thankfully, the game was only pushed a month. Such a massive project should never be rushed and since we waited a decade already, what’s another month?
So free up 45GB on your HDD and wait for November 29, 2016. Final Fantasy XV will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There are rumors of a PC version but nothing has been confirmed for the time being.
