Many of you might remember Khvostov rifle, which is the very first rifle players use in Destiny. However, many powerful weapons have been added since then, but this weapon remains fan favorite and fans were asking t bring it back. So, Bungie listened to the fan’s voice, and decided to bring back Khvostov 7G-OX in Destiny Rise Of Iron.
The Khvostov 7G-OX can be obtained in Destiny Rise Of Iron through a quest chain. Players will be able to get this weapon in different ways, one to get this weapon is by periodically finding weapon parts for this rifle like last year’s Sleeper Simulant.
Players will be able to find the weapon parts in Rise of Iron’s new Plaguelands zone. The weapon parts will be hidden in random chests, or could be obtained through reward for participating in the Archon’s Forge battle arena.
Players will only need to find one weapon part for Khvostov 7G-OX, and when the players will turn it into the quest giver a new chain of quests will kick off. The quest will have players completing a new mission to retrieve the upgraded Khvostov.According to Bungie:
We devised that mission to take you back through those original spaces. Sure, you’ve seen them a lot since then, but you haven’t gotten Ghost’s perspectives on it. So he’s talking about the time he found you and ‘Remember when we were first here?’ The Khvostov was the everyman’s gun and we still want it to be the everyman’s gun. We want this to be your exotic and really tell the story of the guardian and how far you’ve come.
Another, way to get Khvostov 7G-OX is to scrap original Khvostov, assuming they’ve hung onto one these last two years.
Destiny Rise Of Iron is scheduled to release on September 20, 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
