Koei Tecmo have revealed a new playable Berserk character in the latest weekly issue of Famitsu. The new playable Berserk character being added to the game is none other than Nosferatu Zodd.
Known as Zodd the Immortal to many anime fans, Nosferatu Zodd will be joining the already playable character list of the game which includes Guts, Griffith, Judea, Schierke and Serpico.
A well-known rival of Skull Knight, the 10-foot tall Zodd travels around the world always looking for stronger opponents, leaving death and destruction in his wake. Zodd is not only a legendary sword master but also has the ability to sprout wings and fly.
Despite seemingly like a monster, Zodd still has a warrior’s code and anyone who can harm him or even fight well against him has earned Zodd’s respect, just like Guts did even though he was a human.
The Famitsu scans reveal Zodd in his Apostle form, where he turns into a huge beast capable of withstanding even the strongest attacks such as Ganishka’s lighting strikes and parrying large weapons with his horns and claws.
The magazine also showed a look a Guts in his Berserker armor and how his actions and combat differs in his armored state compared to the normal one.
Last month, Koei Tecmo also released some screenshots of the game showing beautiful anime styled visuals as well as brutal combat will all the blood and gore fans have come to expect from Berserk. One of the images also showcased Nosferatu Zodd facing against Guts and Griffith.
Developed by Omega Force, the Berserk game will be releasing in Japan on 27th October for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. A western release is scheduled in Fall 2016 as well for PS4, PS Vita and PC. Early copies of the game in Japan include a wet outfit for Casca.
