Xbox One S is coming to storefrontS on August 2, according to Microsoft. The new slimmer version will be available for $399 with 2TB of storage.
Keep in mind that Xbox One S comes with different storage options. We have Xbox One S 500GB and 1TB models as well. However, for now release plans for these aren’t finalized. On August 2, players will only be able to get their hands on Xbox One S 2TB.
Xbox One S is the most compact Xbox ever released. Compared to Xbox One it is 40% smaller and comes with a built-in power supply. No longer will you have to worry about a huge power brick. The new model comes with IR blaster for increased accessibility and HDR support.
But you will need a screen that supports HDR to benefit from this feature.
- 4K Ultra HD video
- High Dynamic Range
- 40% smaller console
- Streamlined controller
- Xbox One S Vertical Stand
Xbox One S also comes bundled with the new Xbox Wireless Controller featuring textured grip, improved Xbox Wireless signal and added Bluetooth support (requires Windows 10 running the Windows Anniversary Update). The controller can be purchased as a standalone item for $59.99 USD and will also be available on August 2. All Xbox One games, accessories and Xbox Live services will work with Xbox One S.
