Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC Releasing in September, Offline Mode Next Week
Star Wars Battlefront Death Star DLC is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this September. EA DICE made the announcement earlier but that wasn’t it. According to EA, offline mode is coming to consoles and PC next week.
EA is calling the offline mode “Skirmish” and it’s coming our way on July 20th. According to lead designer Dennis Brannvall the Skirmish mode “offers players the option to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen (console only.)”
Two difficulty modes will be offered to players for Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron.
With multiple locations that span the galaxy, from the frozen planet of Hoth to the lava encrusted planet of Sullust, we hope Skirmish brings players a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront Death DLC will add the legendary Death Star and Imperial customizations. For the time being that’s all we know about it.
EA is pushing as many projects out the door as possible before its Star Wars license expire. 5 to 6 different Star Wars games are under development at different EA studios.
EA is opting for quantity which could affect quality. An example of poor quality was last year’s Star Wars Battlefront. It was a visual masterpiece but one of the most stagnant, repetitive games of the year.
Battlefront 2 will release next year and we hope it would improve upon the shortcomings of Battlefront 1.
We’ll have more for you on Star Wars Battlefront and its Death Star DLC in the near future.
