PSN Maintenance Scheduled For July 18, Monday

PSN maintenance is scheduled for this coming Monday, July 18, to do routine maintenance and improve other parts of the Playstation Network.

PSN maintenance will be happening this Monday, July 18. This marks the second instance of Playstation Network maintenance this month, since the last bit of Playstation Network just today. The update will be working on simple routine maintenance and some improvements to the network. The maintenance will only last an hour.

The PSN maintenance will last from 9:30 PM PST to 10:30 PST (or 12:30 AM ET to 1:30 ET). It will affect both the Playstation 3 and the Playstation 4. You’ll still be able to use your Playstation account, play games, and use most applications, but you won’t be able to access Account Management, Playstation Video, and the Playstation Store.

The one hour maintenance period is part of a promise made by Sony to decrease the amount of time that each maintenance period lasts. Each one had previously lasted for two hours, but next week’s will only last for one.

This means that you won’t be able to buy new games, watch videos, or mess with your various accounts on the Playstation Network.

In order to get the best results from the PSN maintenance, Sony recommends that you log into your primary Playstation 4. If you don’t know how to do this, you go to your Playstation Network profile and go to Settings. Then you go to the Account Management, and select “Activate as your Primary PS4”. Then, you press “Activate”.

Before the PSN maintenance kicks off on Monday, why not take a look at the Playstation sales that are going on right now in North America?
