There are No Xbox One S Models Available for Purchase on Amazon Now

When Microsoft announced the Xbox One S at E3 2016, preorders for the smaller console were also announced although we knew better that they won’t last long. That is exactly what has happened, after getting a flying start two days ago, it looks like the retailers are already out of stock.

We just checked the Amazon listing for the new console and realized that none of its models are available for preordering right now.

Clearly, the number of preorders made have exceeded everyone’s expectations.

There are a total of three variants of the Xbox One S. You can get the standard 500 GB console, the one that brings you an impressive 1TB hard disk space and lastly the gigantic 2TB version of the new console.

Had either one of these models been available on Amazon right now, you would have been able to preorder them and get the following contents:

  • 500GB / 1TB / 2TB Internal Hard Drive Xbox One S Console,
  • 1 Xbox Wireless Controller (with 3.5mm headset jack),
  • HDMI cable (4K Capable),
  • AC Power cable
  • 14-day Xbox Live Gold Trial.

So far we don’t know when Microsoft is going to restock the retailers, or at least Amazon for that matter, but definitely more stock will be shipped out because the console is going to be launched in AUgust and Microsoft wouldn’t want the preorders to stop just yet.

That being said, the official Microsoft Store does allow you to preorder the Xbox One S even now, and it might also be a wise option to choose their store. Here’s what they are boasting of:

  • 2TB Launch Edition (includes Xbox One S Vertical Stand) for £349 / €399 / $399, releasing first in August (specific date TBA)
  • 1TB edition for £299 / €349 / $349 (Xbox One S vertical stand sold separately for $20), release TBA
  • 500GB edition for £249 / €299 / $299 (Xbox One S vertical stand sold separately for $20), release TBA
