We will start talking about the God of War graphics comparison in a while, but first, did you know that the game’s official reveal trailer from E3 is more popular than anything else from the event including Xbox One S and Battlefield 1?
Anyhow, now that we know Sony Santa Monica is developing the game for the PlayStation 4 from the ground up, it makes sense to see how far we have come from the last release in the franchise i.e. the God of War 3 Remastered.
The video above has a compilation of similar looking clips from both the games where you can see noticeable the superiority of God of War graphics over its predecessor already although the game is still in the very early stages of development.
Do keep in mind that some of the scenes shown in the comparison video have been taken from the game’s E3 reveal footage while others include some gameplay that you might or might not have seen before.
It is true that God of War 3 Remastered mostly had redone textures, a higher FPS and a higher resolution instead of a fully reworked game, but back in its days those graphics were something to reckon with.
In the video in question you can see that we are going to get the most visually human characters, with much more detail being given to them as well as the environments.
Check it out and tell us what your hopes are in the comments section below.
That being said, it is pretty much clear that the new God of War title is going to focus more on story building elements as compared to previous iterations in the GOW series. This is because of the level of importance given to narrative elements in everything we have been told about the story of the game so far.
This will be a pleasant step by Sony Santa Monica because previous games were focused more on pure gore alone. If the developers are able to retain that and add an engrossing story to the mix, we might have the perfect GOW title on our hands – with a potential of Thor or the step-son of Thor being featured in it!
