Scout class is something I am really looking forward to trying out in the upcoming Battlefield 1. In case we are in the same boat, we now have 5 minutes of Battlefield 1 sniper gameplay at St. Quentin Scar in Conquest Mode.
GameSpot recently had a chance to try out the game during Battlefield 1 closed alpha at E3 2016 and recorded a 5-minute-long footage that you can see attached below!
While the female voiceover informing players of game status feels a little out of place, the overall gameplay is looking as fun as you would expect from a Battlefield game.
It is good to see that sniper rifles are not treated as laser weapons and have bullet drop although you may not notice it because of the distance the player was firing from. However, I do hope bullet penetration will make it to the final version of the game. The sequence with player hiding in the attic with a tank outside firing a machinegun is worrisome.
In relevant Battlefield 1 news, DICE and EA have confirmed that the upcoming game will do away with web launcher. If you have played previous Battlefield games, you will know how irritating it was to search and join servers using a web browser before joining a multiplayer session.
This essentially led to a lot of mechanical issues, causing the game to crash and other issues. Hopefully DICE and EA have better plans this time around, but whatever they might be, getting rid of web launcher is definitely a step in right direction. To read up more, head over to the post!
Battlefield 1 is scheduled to release on Oct. 21, 2016 for PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
