You May Be Able to Upgrade Your Character in the New Spider Man PS4

Spider Man PS4 might allow players to upgrade their character, if a new tweet from Insomniac Games is any indication at all.

Sony’s new Spider Man game might allow players to upgrade their character. Spider Man PS4 developer Insomniac Games hinted at character upgrades for this new PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Spider Man character upgrades would be a very cool addition to the game. If such a feature is added, players might be able to upgrade Spidey’s different skills and abilities – web bullets, blasts etc.

Insomniac previously developed an Xbox One exclusive called Sunset Overdrive. Their use of color and very appealing to the eye and we are seeing hints of that in the new Spider Man as well. We are seeing more vibrant and alive New York, Spider Man’s new costume looks fantastic.

Spider Man games have been mediocre for a while and after long time we are actually excited for this new game. Spider Man PS4 was shown at E3 2016 at Sony’s press event.

The footage you see is fully in-game, Sony confirmed earlier. Activision and Marvel on the other hand have confirmed that the future of Spider Man games is with Sony and PlayStation. This means that not only the new game is exclusive to PlayStation, future games might also do the same.

We’ve had a long history of success with Activision, and we still have a great relationship with them. But the future of the Spider-Man console games is with Sony and Insomniac.

We’re delighted about this partnership, and that’s something that’s going to continue forward. With [regard to] other console partners, stay tuned. There’s many more interesting additional things to come. But Activision is in the past, with regards to Spider-Man.

Spider Man PS4 is without a release date for the time being but early 2017 seems like a good assumption. A new Spider Man based movie is being developed for 2018 as well.
