EA Sports is continuing to add more and more football leagues to its annual FIFA game franchise. This time Japanese MEIJI YASUDA J1 League has been added to FIFA 17, and this marks the first time that this league has been features in the franchise.
EA Sports made the announcement on their official website that “MEIJI YASUDA J1 League and J.League Cup tournament will feature in FIFA 17”.
Not only the league, but every single team from MEIJI YASUDA J1 League will feature in FIFA 17, along with authentic logos, kits and rosters. Every team is available in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) and every other game mode.
The Clubs in MEIJI YASUDA J1 League includes:
- Vegalta Sendai.
- Kashima Antlers.
- Urawa Reds.
- Omiya Ardija.
- Kashiwa Reysol.
- FC Tokyo.
- Kawasaki Frontale.
- Yokohama F. Marinos.
- Shonan Bellmare.
- Ventforet Kofu.
- Albirex Niigata.
- Júbilo Iwata.
- Nagoya Grampus.
- Gamba Osaka.
- Vissel Kobe.
- Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
- Avispa Fukuoka.
- Sagan Tosu.
In addition to the clubs, FIFA 17 will also feature Suita City Football Stadium, the home of Gamba Osaka.
FIFA is giving PES quite a run for its money this year, with the inclusion of many football leagues that are exclusive to FIFA 17, and it seems that these exclusive features are not ending.
Recently EA Sports announced that Spanish Football League, La Liga, is going exclusive to FIFA 17.
Both La Liga ambassador, Fernando Morientes, and publisher Electronic Arts announced the partnership during the game’s official presentation at Santiago Bernabéu. This deal ultimately means that EA will have the rights to the team’s players and stadiums from Spain.
Now all of this will create more problems for Konami, as the publisher will now have to negotiate every other club individually. All of this raises a question that, with FIFA 17 securing football clubs to be featured exclusively in the game, how many exclusive clubs and teams will PES 2017 feature.
FIFA 17 will release on Septembet 27, 2016 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
