343 Industries and Microsoft are allowing Xbox One users to play the full Halo 5 Guardians game for free for the first week after the release of Warzone Firefight update!

However, this doesn’t mean anyone who has an Xbox One can play the game, you will have to be an Xbox Live Gold member. If you are subscribed, you will be able to access the game without buying it starting June 29 (the release date of the update) all the way up till July 5.

To celebrate the release of Warzone Firefight next week, the full game of Halo 5: Guardians will be available to download and play FOR FREE to all Xbox Live Gold members from June 29 to July 5 as part of Xbox Live’s “Free Play Days” program. Additionally, Halo 5: Guardians will be on sale for 50 percent off during this same time. There’s no better time to join the Spartan ranks!

In case you have missed out on news regarding the content you are going to get with the Halo 5 Warzone Firefight update, there will be a new game mode called Warzone Firefight, a new campaign feature called Score Attack, three new maps namely Attack on Sanctum, Prospect and Molten, a new forge canvas called Tidal, and new REQs items.

This is probably the biggest update that 343 Industries has released to Halo 5 Guardians so far, and surely adds a lot more value to the game. Maybe you should take the free week after Halo 5 Warzone Firefight update releases and see if you want to return to the game.
