Destiny was released back in 2013 and since then multiple expansions have been released for the game. However, it does not seem that Bungie is going to stop releasing new content for Destiny any time soon, as Bungie is about to release Rise Of Iron Expansion later this year. Also the developer has revealed that they intend to speed up the Destiny content rollout as it enters its year 3.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Rise Of Iron’s creative director, Chris Barrett, expressed his hopes for their upcoming expansion for Destiny in September.
He also said that the internal testing feedback for Rise Of Iron has been positive.
I hope it is. Ultimately we’ll see how the community reacts. We had a big playtest at the studio last week and the feedback was very positive, everybody liked the new content. Our teams are very passionate – they had a lot of suggestions too.
Chris also revealed that, Rise Of Iron is the biggest expansion for Destiny since the release of Taken King last year, and the team is building tools make Destiny content rollout quicker.
We’re trying to get better at what we do, build tools to make content quicker and focus on what the best and most impactful experiences are for players. We’re also learning as we go. I think we’re getting better at building Destiny, releasing content quicker.
Recently, Chris Barrett announced in an interview that the PC version of Destiny has not been ruled out, but Bungie is not working on it right now.
It seems that consoles is the main focus for Bungie, however, its been three years since Destiny launched and there are not many PC gamers out there who want Destiny to release on PC.
Destiny Rise of Iron is scheduled to release on September 20 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
