Platinum Games showed Scalebound Coop at E3 and now says that it works throughout the campaign and isn’t limited to certain sections. This means that you can play the entire campaign with your friends.

Scalebound features 4 player coop where you will take on some of the most fierce enemies of the land. The E3 demo hgve us an in-depth look at what to expect from Scalebound coop.

According to Hideki Kamiya from Platinum Games:

Co-op works throughout the campaign. You can play by yourself if you’d like to. You can play with your friends whenever you like. It’s not a mode — a lot of people have asked us if it’s just for bosses, but it’s for the entire game’s campaign

Multiplayer will be a part of the game but creative producer JP Kellams ruled out lobbies.

I hate lobbies and there’s no Japanese multiplayer game that has a good lobby,” Kellams said. “So you can fully expect that Scalebound will not use lobbies.

The demo shown at E3 with 4 player co-op gameplay featured the biggest boss fight ever created by the developing studio. Players were able to control dragons and had access to exploding arrows.

Graphically, the game looks pretty decent with its high quality textures, great particle effects, but we felt that water effects can use some improvements which they would before the final build goes into mass production.

Scalebound will release across Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Microsoft is yet to confirme a release date but the game looks in good shape so it shouldn’t be too long before we get to play it.
