PC Version Of Destiny Is Still Not Out of the Equation, No Announcement Yet
Ever since the release of Destiny on consoles, Activision and Bungie has assured PC gamers multiple times that PC version of Destiny has not been ruled out, however, they have nothing to show for it.
Now Bungie has again announced that PC version of Destiny is not ruled out by developers. In an interview with GameSpot, Bungie director Christopher Barrett has said that Destiny might make it to PC but they are not working on it at the moment.
No updates on that today, but we’re always looking at what platforms make sense for Destiny.
It seems that consoles are still the focus for the developing studio, and specifically current generation of consoles as the latest Destiny expansion, Rise Of Iron, is scheduled to release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This is because 90% of the player base is playing Destiny on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
However, the main issue with PC version of destiny would be that its been three years since Destiny launched and there are not many PC gamers out there who want Destiny to release on PC. As there have been many games on PC to fill the void that lack of Destiny on PC left in PC gamers.
However, with the continuous updates and challenging raids, I for one would definitely want to dive into the virtual world of Destiny and fulfill the challenges as a guardian, wouldn’t you?
The latest expansion for Destiny is Rise of Iron which introduces a new story, raid , weapons and more. This expansion will release only for Xbox One and PS4, because the scale and scope of the expansion is huge compared to previous DLC, and the developers would have to take it away in order to release it on Previous GEN consoles.
Destiny is an first person action RPG shooter developed by Bungie, and the game is available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
