Bethesda is currently working on Fallout 4’s DLC and Elder Scrolls VI, but that does not mean the company has no other surprises up its sleeves. It is confirmed that two upcoming Bethesda games are in development and they are as big as Skyrim and Fallout 4.
Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, confirmed in an interview with IGN that the two upcoming Bethesda games are being developed and will be huge in scope compared to Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
This confirmation by Hines is in line with Bethesda studio head Todd Howard’s statement that three large projects are in development, one of them being Elder Scrolls VI. Hines elaborated the Bethesda’s ambitions for these upcoming projects.
He (Todd Howard) said for sure that he’s got two other projects. I’m just making sure folks understand, like, that doesn’t mean he’s going to spit out a DLC and another DLC and we’re head faking. Like, I need folks to understand that we’re talking about big games like a Skyrim and a Fallout 4 and a Fallout 3 and those don’t just happen.
Hines also explained that the studio has plans to develop and release these two projects before Elder Scrolls VI’s development is complete.
One of the games fans were hoping to see during Bethesda’s E3 press conference was Elder Scrolls VI. However, the studio had nothing to announce about that game, but the developers did confirm that Elder Scrolls VI is indeed in development and is very long way off from being released or showcased.
Todd Howard, explained that even though Elder Scrolls VI is in development, the studio does not have the technology that they require, so they are developing that tech first.
