In addition to Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix is also working on an arcade beat ‘em up called Final Fantasy XV: A King’s Tale.
Final Fantasy XV: A King’s Tale was announced during Square Enix’s E3 livestream, the game is set 30 years before the events of the main game and revolves around the adventures of a young King Regis. According to the studio, the game will be presented as a fairy tale being told to Noctis.
There is a little catch, however. The game is basically a retailer-exclusive title. In order to get your hands on it, you need to pre-order Final Fantasy XV from either GameStop or EB Games in the US or Canada. Do not worry if you are residing UK as it will indeed come to UK-based retailers, but the availability is yet to be announced.
Final Fantasy XV: A King’s Tale is scheduled to arrive both on Sony’s Playstation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One on Sept. 30, 2016 – the same day as the release date of the main FFXV title.
In relevant Final Fantasy news, during Microsoft’s E3 2016 media briefing, Hajime Tabata and Matthew Kishimoto showcased a brief gameplay demo called Trial of Titan.
