Kojima’s Death Stranding Features A Lot of Action Elements, More Details Shared

One of the pleasantest and most unexpected surprises during Sony’s E3 2016 media briefing was the new IP Death Stranded being developed by Kojima Productions.

During the press conference, the audience sort of received sort of a teaser of the game featuring Norman Reedus. While we do not have a whole lot of details when it comes to Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima shared bits and pieces of information while speaking with Geoff Keighley on YouTube Live.

First of all, the phrase Dead Standing is something that can be attributed to whales/dolphins being stranded on beaches or people stranded on islands. The title of the game essentially refers to someone from some place stranded in an outside world. I know this does not make a whole lot of sense, but this is everything we have received so far!

Kojima also confirmed that the studio did not unveil the protagonist’s name or setting on purpose so as to keep them secret. In addition to this, he said that the game features quite a lot of action gameplay elements and players will immediately notice it as something different from anything they have ever experienced before.

Speaking of release date, the game is far from having a concrete release date since Kojima has not even decided upon a game engine as of now, however, he did confirm that he has a handful of options in mind.

During Sony’s press conference, it was sort of suggested that the game would be a Playstation 4 exclusive title, however, we expect it to release both on Microsoft Windows and Playstation 4. To read up more, head over to the post!
