Sony has confirmed its partnership with Activision to bring back Crash Bandicoot. Yes, it is finally happening but not in the way we were expecting it to.
Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2 along with Warped are being remastered for PlayStation 4, Sony confirmed during its E3 2016 press event just now. Fans were excited to hear about it, however, a new game would have set fire to the stage right there and then.
Still, it is good of Sony to bring back Crash for its long time user base. The last we saw Crash Bandicoot was in Uncharted 4 when Nathan Drake was seen playing the original game. That sparked speculation that Sony has acquired the rights to the game back from Activision.
Sony later denied such speculations but now revealed that they are in partnership with the company to bring Crash remasters to PlayStation 4.
Price and release will be shared at a later time.
So tell us, is Crash Bandicoot remasters enough? Or do you think Sony should have developed a new game in partnership with Activision? For more news from E3 2016, stay-tuned!
