Gears of War 4 multiplayer supports 60Fps butter smooth gameplay but due to it targeting such a high frame rate on lackluster hardware, it made it very difficult for developers to maintain decent visual fidelity.
Gears of War multiplayer offers a smooth 60FPS experience but unfortunately that responsive experience came at the cost of visual fidelity. Texture quality is good but character animations still need some work. Reflections are used nicely and look good but lighting on each map is dull.
Gears of War 4 is being developed using the Unreal Engine 4 is the very first major AAA shooter to use Epic’s powerhouse. The single player campaign is locked at 30FPS and offers a highly fidelity cinematic experience.
The good news is that The Coalition has managed to up its visuals in the multiplayer mode. Rod Ferguson shared a new image comparing the beta with the game’s current build. The image showed improved lighting, high quality textures on the surfaces and character skins. Gears of War 4 multiplayer looks much better and we hope to see even more improvements before the final build goes into mass production.
