Without mentioning Red Dead Redemption 2 or a remastered version of the original game, Take Two Interactive has recently teased that they are actually working on new games that are really going to hype the crap out of everyone.
Is It Red Dead Redemption 2, a Remaster, Or Nothing At All?
An image has been circulated online that really feels like it has something to do with either one of those highly anticipated releases that Take Two Interactive simply wouldn’t talk about.
We are not sure which one it is, but what we do know is that the image concerned has been created by Matt Clyne, who is a senior environment artist who has worked for Rockstar San Diego between September 2003 and July 2015.
Clyne, after leaving his job at Rockstar Games created a portfolio where he uploaded some of the work he has done. Among the handful of images he has shared, Clyne also uploaded the image in question.
It has the name Red Dead Redemption mentioned on it, but the name does not have the word “remastered” next to it neither does it say Red Dead Redemption 2, something we really wish the developers would announce soon.
As far as the quality of the image is concerned, it surely looks better than the original, although it is not really at par with what we would expect the visual fidelity to be on PS4 and Xbox One these days.
However, one thing suggesting this is legit is the fact that the image is using Chromatic Aberration (CA).
This could be because it is not a final product, just an image of the environment, visualizing what the world could feel like at a glance. But it could also mean that the guy was just fooling around and creating stuff that has nothing to do with current or future projects of Rockstar Games, or any of Take Two’s IPs.
