PES 2017 Has Been Announced; Gameplay Features, Screenshots Shared

If you don’t play FIFA and are on the other side of the fence where Pro Evolution Soccer is, Konami is going to treat you again with this year’s installment; PES 2017 has been officially announced and some gameplay features have also been explained by the developers.

Not only that the developers have also shared a handful of screenshots for the football game with us that show the current state of development.

We are sharing the screenshots with you but keep in mind that the game was just announced which means the visual quality is going to be a work in process just like the rest of the game itself. That being said, check out the images in the gallery embedded below.

Konami has confirmed that they are going to release the game on both the current generation of consoles as well as the previous generation i.e. PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

There are a number of gameplay improvements that have been mentioned by the developers.

For instance, Konami boasts of Real Touch which is based on “how different players control the ball in unique and different ways based on where and how you control them, dictating the flow of the game based on how they react to the unpredictable movement of the ball.”

Calling it an art form, they are promising Precise Passing through Real Touch and real ball physics. Even with goalkeeping, they are boasting of “a great jump in quality through added motions and animations.” PES 2017 will also bring you advanced instructions with are:

Strategies that are quite individually defined such as Tiki-taka and Tight Marking which is strongly based on team ideology can be set in Advanced Instructions, which adds a huge variety in how you plan to win.

There are a number of other improvements namely natural player movement with hundreds of new animations, a major visual upgrade giving you authentic visuals, and for the first time ever, adaptive AI meaning they will “learn how you play!”

So far Konami has not shared the release date of PES 2017, but it will probably be somewhere near the third quarter.
