Just today Microsoft Director of Programming Major Nelson unveiled six new Xbox One backwards compatibility games, which will be coming to the list that already holds 175 other games. According to Nelson the six games in question are DuckTales: Remastered, Hexic 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Magic: The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, Domino Master, and Unbound Saga.

While at least two of the games, Hexic and Domino Master, are just arcade titles that can help you fill a few minutes, most of the rest are well-reviewed titles or even outright classics that have been requested by fans via the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.

In the list (located on’s feedback section) Xbox gamers that write in requests for some of their favorite games to be considered to be new Xbox One backwards compatibility games.

At the moment these include various games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, and Red Dead Redemption.

These last three will most likely be coming sometime soon, as they’re three of the most-requested backwards compatibility games along with a number of other Call of Duty titles and even The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.

Other games that are could be requested are things like Zone of the Enders 2, Lost Odyssey, Fallout: New Vegas, Dishonored, and more.

The backwards compatibility list gets regular updates as well, so if a game that you want isn’t in the latest batch of games that are coming to the Xbox One, all you have to do is wait a little while and you’ll most likely get them.

Other games that have been new Xbox One backwards compatibility games are titles like the Gears of War series, Fallout 3, Just Cause 2, Metal Slug, Mirror’s Edge, and more. Not to mention that, as long as they don’t require something like a Kinect to work, any game can be chosen to be on the list.
