Uncharted 4 Patch 1.04 Is Now Live On Playstation 4
Ever since it released several weeks ago on May 10, Uncharted 4 has already had four different patches come out for it. Uncharted 4 patch 1.04 is the most recent of these, having just gone live on the Playstation Network to be available for download.
The patch adds a number of fixes mainly to the game’s multiplayer, though it was then upgraded to 1.04.015 after a live update to adjust friend lists. There are also a few minor changes that are going into the game’s single player, mainly in dealing with various circumstances that would cause crashes.
However, the patches have already introduced a new bug related to party-joining.
According to Naughty Dog, Uncharted 4 patch 1.04 fixes a minor aiming acceleration issue, a crash that occurs while you’re carrying an object (most likely related to the game’s Plunder mode), a crash that occurs when you pick up the idol in Plunder while you’re in cover, an exploit that allowed players to get into off-limits areas, and a language loading issue.
Also fixed were a number of party-invite mechanics. One stopped allowing people to leave a party while the party was in matchmaking, and the other dealt with the Invite Only party setting, which finally allowed people to properly allow invited players.
Uncharted 4 patch 1.04 also had a number of updates. One updated messaging on locked Customization items, while another updated the game’s heads-up display so that marking a player only showed the direction they were in, not their name.
The live update that made the patch 1.04.15 increased the visible friends list so that you could see the whole thing with pages.
The patch’s two single-player fixes eliminated a crash in the basement of a tower, and fixed a progression blocker where an in-game cutscene doesn’t trigger when you enter a cave.
Hopefully Naughty Dog will get the newly introduced bug fixed quickly, but at least they gave us a smoother multiplayer experience.
