Watch Dogs 2 Will Have a “New Tone,” Says Ubisoft; Coming to E3 2016
Watch Dogs 2 is going to have a new tone, according to Ubisoft. The first game didn’t do so well but Ubisoft is working hard to overcome the shortcoming of the first game via its sequel. What does Ubisoft mean by “new tone” is anyone’s guess for the time being but for me, the biggest complaint was its lead character.
Watch Dogs featured a very dull lead character, Aiden Pearce, who was very un-relatable and lacked charisma. His successor was leaked recently by the actor who provided motion capture for the lead character.
Had a blast doing motion capture work as the lead character in a new video game series! (= #actor #motioncapture #artist #videogames #ps4 #xbox #art #work #comingsoon #WatchDogs2
Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot confirmed that the game will release before March 2017. We should expect to see the game at E3 2016 and wait for more details in the following months.
Ubisoft CEO also mentioned that there would only be one more traditional console cycle. Meaning in the future we will see many different innovations and changes. We could see upgradeable consoles like PC, streaming games, digital games only, there are many possibilities.
This year, Ubisoft is once again appearing at E3 and it taking over EA’s slot as the later is holding its very own event. Ubisoft’s event where it will show Watch Dogs 2 will kick off the preshow at 12:30PM PST June 13th, before the main event commences at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 9PM BST. The June 13 slot previously belonged to EA.
