Respwan Entertainment, the developer behind FPS Titanfall, has announced that it is working on a new third-person action-adventure game set in Star Wars universe. The announcement comes via Game Director Stig Asmussen on Respawn’s official blog.

Titanfall Developer Respawn’s Star Wars Game

Speaking of the untitled Star Wars project, Stig Asmussen – who previously worked on God of War series – said that fans should expect high quality game as expected from Respawn Entertainment:

“We promise to pay respect to the Star Wars legacy at all times, a fact that will be constantly reinforced and honored as a central game design tenet. Fans should expect the exemplary level of quality first established at Respawn with Titanfall, a game that epitomizes our studio‚Äôs dedication to slick, larger-than-life action and fun, groundbreaking mechanics.”

Not much is known about Respawn’s Star Wars game except that it will be an action-adventure third-person title. We can expect more information at this year’s E3.

We already know that publisher Electronic Arts has rights to Star Wars games and has worked with Respawn Entertainment before with Titanfall – this collaboration makes a lot of sense!

In addition to the untitled Star Wars game, Respawn Entertainment is also working on Titanfall 2 which has been confirmed by the studio to be a multiplatform title. For more information on Respawn’s Star Wars game, you can head over to the blogpost by Stig Asmussen.
