Batman: Return To Arkham Collection Shows Up On Italian GameStop Website

Batman: Return To Arkham Collection

A few weeks ago news came to light that the Arkham series of Batman games would be getting a remastered edition for its first two critically acclaimed games: Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City. Now, on the Italian version of the GameStop website, Batman: Return To Arkham has made an appearance.

There, the collection is priced at 50.98 euros, but at the same time there’s still been no true announcement from Rocksteady Games, who developed the Arkham trilogy, or from Warner Bros. For all we know they’re still trying to fix Arkham Knight’s PC version.

Arkham Knight was the first of the Batman games to be released on the Xbox One, and considering how many other games (Halo, Gears of War, and more) that have made a next-gen jump to Xbox One to capitalize on the console’s higher resolution and better graphics, we can assume that Rocksteady wants to do the same. This would be especially true considering that Arkham Asylum and Arkham City sold very well on last-gen consoles.

If (or rather, when) there is a remastered version of the first two Arkham games coming out, the rumors also say that it will be coming out on June 10, meaning that if the rumors are true that we’ll most likely see an announcement soon, especially since the Batman: Return to Arkham collection is coming out only two days before E3 starts.

On the other hand, Rocksteady may be going for a stealthy release that they can announce at E3 to take people by surprise (unfortunately that’s been ruined, as cool as it would be) similar to Bethesda’s announcement about Fallout Shelter or the Dead Rising 3 arcade title that Capcom released in 2014.

Considering all of the information we’ve been getting it’ll be hard to take the news with a grain of salt (especially people that love Batman and enjoyed the Arkham series) but hopefully it’ll turn out to be true and we’ll get to enjoy a good Batman game again.
