Update: It seems there is an error in the store listing which means COD 4 Remaster won’t release early.

Original Story: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Remastered may release a month early if the game’s listing on Xbox Store is to be believed. According to Xbox Store, Modern Warfare players will have access to the game a month ahead of Infinite Warfare release.

The game is bundled with Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Legacy Pro Edition. All 3 versions will include a digital copy of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare so Activision can allow early access to the game.

It would make sense because COD 4 remastered is overshadowing Infinite Warfare ever since the news broke. The community is more hyped to see Captain Price return and that should be a little concerning for Infinity Ward. The reaction should also teach a thing or two to other COD developers – Treyarch and Sledgehammer.

Infinite Warfare servers may be deserted at launch if COD 4 releases on the same day, however, it could very well be a mistake in the listing.
