A game`s concept art can reveal a lot about the design beginnings and learning about it can give insight to the world that players will discover. In a recent interview with Gameinformer, Square Enix Tokyo revealed Final Fantasy 15 concept art and discussed the creative process behind making a concept art.
Now the second concept art is about a car which shows that outside of main protagonist`s homeland, there is a place called Insomnia, where humans have made no significant technological advancements. The car`s design reflects just that.
About this art artist Kouta Niihara asked:
Don’t you find the juxtaposition with the “sleekly refined design of the Regalia” interesting as well?
Now the third art hangs in the game`s Altissia plaza, whose design reflects the modernism of Altissia.
Concept artist Mizushi Sugawara said about the art:
To symbolize that sense of a modern setting, we decided to place a wire art artifact for the public eye
The fourth art depicts a scene of batttle, and this art is the illustration of Niflheim troops heading towards Titan.
According to artist Kenji Niki:
This single picture captures the overwhelming and heteromorphic presence of Titan, awaiting the onslaught of the Niflheim troops and their cutting-edge weaponry.
The fifth and final concept art shows a transcontinental railroad.
According to artist Kouta Niihara:
When you simply recreate them with the same sort of size and volume, they turn out like toys. We create a sense of size, scope and power by creating them in the likeness of real-life jumbo jets.
