Epic Games has released a new Paragon update that improves character movement, giving it a boost of 12.5%. Players will notice a significant movement speed boost after the latest update.
- Movement speed of all heroes was increased by 12.5% (In and Out of combat)
- Movement penalties for strafing from side to side or diagonally have been abolished. You now move at the same speed in all directions
- The movement penalty for basic attacking was reduced by half for melee heroes and around 40% for ranged heroes
- With these changes, Red Buff (which gives a move speed boost on basic atk hit) makes you considerably faster while fighting compared to before
Paragon is a PS4 console exclusive and will release on PC as well. Epic Games is yet to share a release date but we should expect Paragon to hit digital storefronts sometime in the next few months.
Paragon takes the best of League of Legends and DOTA 2 and adds a first person view. It is identical to what For Honor is trying to do with the MOBA genre.
Paragon will be free-to-play with in-game transactions that won’t affect competitive games once it is released. However, right now the game is in early access which isn’t free. However, free access will be live for those who sign-up sometime this summer.
Paragon could appear at E3 2016 during Sony’s press conference so look forward to more updates about the game and its release schedule.
