Remedy Entertainment just released Quantum Break and we already know they are behind one of the most popular Xbox series, Alan Wake.
The last time we saw Alan Wake was as an easter egg in Quantum Break. Since then it’s being speculated that Alan Wake 2 is under development at Remedy Entertainment. Now, a couple of LinkedIn profiles oF Remedy folks have revealed that the studio has been involved with an unannounced project since the past nine months. More interestingly, Mikko Rautalahti who joined Remedy as a freelancer for Alan Wake is involved with the video game project as well.
Here are screenshots of Kyle Rowley (Lead Designer of possible Alan Wake 2) and Mikko Rautalahti (narrative writer of a possible Alan Wake sequel).
Whether the game has been in development for 9 months or Kyle Rowley was brought on board 9 months ago is unclear. However, in both cases the game should be ready for a brief teaser. A CGI trailer at least?
Alan Wake 2 has been rumored for a long time, ever since the release of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. Remedy Entertainment is done with Quantum Break and its complete focus should be on this new title by now. Best guess right now is that Remedy is going to share more details at E3 2016.
