Back in the immediate (literally) aftermath of E3 2015, Bethesda had just announced that Fallout 4 would be releasing later that year, and had just released a mobile game to prepare us for it in the form of Fallout Shelter, a settlement management simulator where you built a Vault and filled it with citizens to wait out the apocalypse. And now, not even two months after the last, Bethesda is putting out a new Fallout Shelter update.
The update allows a wide variety of new ways to get material and space for your Vault, allowing you to disassemble weapons and clothing for parts, along with customizing your inhabitants with the help of a barber shop, and new clothes to create and find out in the Wasteland.
Support 3D Touch! – Dismantling! Serve other materials to create? Now you can dismantle weapons and clothes for usable materials. – New clothes from civilian to create and find. For an understated look of the inhabitants. – New customization options. Inhabitants even more unique thanks to the barber! – New enhancements approved by Vault-Tec to get the best from the Vault.
Now you can finally get rid of all of those useless beginner weapons that your Vault Dwellers have picked up throughout their time in your Vault and out in the Wasteland, and you can finally make Mr. and Mrs. Vault Boy look more distinct from the other Mr. and Mrs. Vault Boys around them through visits to the Vault barber shop and through creating new civilian clothing within the Vault or finding it out in the Wasteland.
Either way, we can only hope that since Fallout 4 is still one of the most played games this generation, that Bethesda will want to keep the ball rolling with a new Fallout Shelter update from time to time that allows us more than clothes, much like they’ve done with pets and crafting.
But what about you guys? What do you think of this update?
