Microsoft is looking to welcome gamers to the summer by advertising the Xbox One spring bundle. The bundle, marked down $50 from its $399 price tag, includes a 1 Terabyte Xbox One console, along with 4 different games: Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay, and Ori and the Blind Forest.
Halo 5: Guardians is the continuation to the “Forerunner Trilogy” of the Halo games, which took off when 343 Studios took over the series from Bungie after Halo: Reach. With the Master Chief and his team of Spartans having gone AWOL, it falls to Fireteam Osiris, led by Spartan Locke, to bring him back to Earth.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a compilation of all four current Gears of War games, in the form of Gears of War 1, 2, and 3, along with the sidestory Gears of War: Judgement. Upped graphically to 1080p, the Ultimate Edition also comes with a Beta invitation for the upcoming Gears of War 4, due to release in October.
Rare Replay is actually thirty games in one, as it’s every game that Rare has come out with in the 30 years since its founding. These include such classics as Banjo-Kazooie, Killer Instinct, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Battletoads, Perfect Dark, and Viva Piñata.
Ori and the Blind Forest is a single-player platforming adventure game that was released earlier this year in March, and tells the story of Ori, a guardian spirit who must restore the elemental balance of his forest in order to prevent it from being destroyed.
With the 1 Terabyte Xbox One being double the 500 gigabyte memory size of the standard console, the Xbox One spring bundle has more than enough room not just for the games that accompany it, but also for any other games that you want to play on it. If you want to pick the bundle up, however, you should hurry, because the bundle only lasts until supplies are gone, and the offer is exclusive to the Microsoft Store.
