Everyone has been wondering which two Pokemon will be the face of Pokemon Sun and Moon because it has always been a tradition with the recent twin games that The Pokemon Company attaches a flagship Pokemon with each of the entries.
However, since Sun and Moon are not being discussed publicly by the developers yet, details are scarce not only on the Pokemon it will bring to the limelight but also about the game itself.
We have, nonetheless, stumbled upon some activity that Game Freak has been involved in, and this might just lead us to the two flagship Pokemon we have been talking about for so long.
The developers have recently registered two new trademarks with the Japanese Patent and Trademarks Office. While the descriptions do not leak that these are related to Pokemon Sun and Moon, the name of the trademarks do reveal so.
Game Freak has registered trademarks for somethings called Solgaleo and Lunaala. Naturally, these look like self-made names that could be given to a character, and since we have got “Sol” and “Luna” at the start of each one of them, there is hardly a doubt that this is related to Sun and Moon.
That being said, it would also be the right time to get the rights to the two flagship Pokemon that are going to ship with the new twin games – if they have not already done so, of course.
With this in mind, we might be able to speculate that Solgaleo is the main Pokemon in Pokemon Sun while Lunaala could be the name of the primary in Pokemon Moon.
Needless to say, this is based on speculation and not official confirmation from the developers which is why we will be reaching out to the developers for a comment.
