Electronic Arts (EA) will not be attending E3 this year, so will instead be running their own event this year just before it. Also taking place in Los Angeles, as well as in London at the same time the event will be called EA Play and allows fans and the press to preview certain games that are coming up this year and the start of next year.
The times for what EA have planned are as follows. There is no news yet about what games will be showcased when but I’m sure this sort of specific information will be revealed closer to the dates:
EA Play Los Angeles (Pacific Standard Time)
Sunday, June 12:
1:00pm – 2:00pm – EA Press Conference
2:00pm – 4:00pm – Open to Media
4:00pm – 10:00pm – Open to Players
Monday, June 13:
9:00am – 9:00pm – Open to all players
Tuesday, June 14:
9:00am – 9:00pm – Open to Industry and E3 attendees
EA Play London (British Summer Time)
Sunday, June 12:
9:00pm – 10:00pm – Press Conference
10:00pm – 12:00am – Player sessions
Titanfall 2 has today been confirmed to appear at the event, linking to the date of June 12 seen at the end of the teaser trailer revealed yesterday. EA have said that the game “will join three titles from our EA Sports lineup – and more – at EA Play.” This seems strange considering that Titanfall 2 is far from a normal EA Sports title but it is set to be showcased alongside the annual games anyway.
If you are unable to make the event then EA will have you covered by live-streaming the event as well as plenty of behind-the-scenes goodies. Expect plenty of games to gain coverage including all the usual yearly sports titles such as FIFA and MADDEN, as well as exciting projects like the afore-mentioned Titanfall 2 and probably some more news on Mass Effect: Andromeda.
