Last year Microsoft made a big splash at he E3, that is to say that Microsoft had the best show last year at E3, as they made tons of announcements and Xbox one being backward compatible is one of them. And this time Microsoft` focus is Xbox one more than anything else.
This year might be a tough competition, as Nintendo, Sony and Bethesda are claiming to make some big announcement. But we are sure that we get more details about Gears of War 4, Halo wars 2 and Crackdown 3, which are to be released before the end of this year. Who knows we will get more info about Scalebound which was delayed last year to unspecified date. Who knows they might reveal the release date foe Scalebound.
Phil Spencer shared his thoughts about what to expect at E3:
Microsoft`s focus is Xbox one console. We’re going to have a nice E3. The next focus is how we come to desktop. I’ll call it that. A lot of our franchises map better to desktop. A lot of our players play on both console and desktop. So let’s go after that and see what issues we run into, like control or voice communication or cross-buy, things we’re trying to enable. Let’s solve one big issue first and then look at the next wave of touch in mobile as a place we can go.
Spencer also said:
Long-term strategy clearly rolls out to any place that somebody wants to play. We’re just taking a focus now on console to desktop and then moving out from there
As I said earlier this year going to be tough a PlayStation is going to unveil is PlayStation VR and Nintendo is going to reveal its next console code named Nintendo NX, which is rumored to be more powerful than PlayStation 4.
This year E3 will take place from June 14 to June 16.
