We know how in its final shape, Naughty Dog excels at visual fidelity, the game is almost better than every other game that has ever released to the PS4. However, it looks like the game developers think they can do even better than this in the next Naughty Dog game.
The game’s Lead Designer Ricky Cambier was recently talking about how they want to push the limits of the console even more and teased that their next game could go even beyond that and do better.
He says that “there are definitely areas that I can see that we will be able to do better things already, after this” and that the “smart programmers” at Naughty Dog are always surprising them at what they can do.
I think it was easier to get things up and at a certain level here, and we have some ideas that we’ll work on in the future.
I have a hard time seeing that it will take the same evolutionary jump as you know… the difference between the first Uncharted versus The Last of Us is enormous. But there is no doubt that the next thing we do, we’re gonna get even more out of that PlayStation.
Back in 2014 they had said that there was another project in development at the same scale as Uncharted 4 – since the scale of the latest Uncharted game has also expanded ever since the delays, we are not sure how that affects the scale of the next Naughty Dog game.
Other than this, the developers have said that they might consider a new Jak and Daxter game after the Uncharted release and this has been substantiated by leaked concept arts that allegedly belong to a new Jak and Daxter game.
Lastly, Community Strategist Arne Meyer had said back in November last year that they will probably release two or more games this console generation; we are seriously hoping one of them is The Last of Us 2.
What could the next Naughty Dog game be?
