We know that the Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC is going to be bigger in size than Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion’s Shivering Isles DLC which means there is going to be a lot of stuff in there.
However, Bethesda has been pretty quiet about it so far which left us to dataminers among us. Thankfully, people have been able to extract some new details on the content we are going to get from the downloadable content pack.
They are not giant leaks, but we have at least some reference to new enemy types and even weapons.
Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC Datamined
For starters, the dataminers were able to dig up a folder called “DLC03” inside which there was at least one file titled “GhoulYaoGuai.nif.” Naturally this is referring to a new enemy type, a Ghoul Yao Guai.
The file has a mesh for the possible new variant of the creature which you can see below. The thinner one is the new model, and it looks like most of the changes will be in the texturing than in the shape and size.
Moving on, there is a reference to the Harpoon Gun too suggesting that we might finally get it thanks to the Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC. This was found inside a file titled “TestUnderWaterWorldScript.pex” which has the following code in it:
RKVBGSBUILD08* TestUnderWaterWorldScript OnLoad collapsedonbase conditional default collapsedonref mandatory hidden ObjectReference ::pTestAmmoHarpoon_var ammo ::pTestHarpoonGun_var weapon ::myPowerArmor_var ::pFootStepSiltE_var visualeffect myPlayer actor% ::pPowerArmorUnderwaterLightSpell_var spell pTestHarpoonGun pTestAmmoHarpoon myPowerArmor pPowerArmorUnderwaterLightSpell pFootStepSiltE None ::temp1 Bool ::nonevar ::temp2 ::temp3 form game getPlayer.
Last but not the least, the files for the DLC contain a texture map for what looks like a giant squid. We are also sharing that image below. Check it out and tell us how much of a danger this could pose.
There is definitely more inside the Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC but sadly this is all that could be datamined. Looking to Bethesda for official word on it.
