Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide has sold half a million copies which is an impressive number considering it is a PC game, a platform where selling legitimate copies to consumers is a pain.
Developer Fatshark is happy with the game’s performance on PC.
We are really happy with the sales so far. We reached half a million copies much faster than we estimated. As a small studio, this really is an amazing milestone for us. The office is a hive of excitement.
We are overwhelmed by the positive response from both players and critics alike, and this has given us the extra drive to continue providing exciting and engaging content so that everyone can continue to enjoy the game long into the future.
Since its release, Vermintide has saw one paid DLC and two free ones. Another DLC is coming out in May, however, before that happens a free update is planned for Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide.
One of the most common complaints about the game apparently is that it is too easy, according to Fatshark, so this free update will fix this before the next DLC hits. We can’t say if this is an April Fool’s Joke or not but it does look legit.
Based off the signals we’ve received from the community this seems to be the case. We’ve therefore been hard at work designing a difficulty mode more challenging than anything you’ve ever played before
The update adds a new Death Wish difficulty for players who have a death wish. Skaven, Ratling Gunners, Rat Ogres, Gutter Runners everything doubles so you will experience a very high level difficulty.
