Treyarch has announced that the next chapter of Black Ops 3 zombies mode will release on April 19. The new content is titled “Eclipse” and brings four new maps, including a reimagining of Banzai, a classic Call of Duty: World at War map, and zombies mode content called “Zetsubou No Shima.”
Multiplayer fans will see four new maps and here is a quick rundown of them.
Spire: This map takes Black Ops 3 players to a futuristic sub-orbital airport terminal set high in the clouds. It features multiple areas and level that accommodate intense, tactical action.
Rift: Players will enter a futuristic military complex set above an active caldera. The map funnels and forces tight, intense engagements between Black Ops 3 players.
Knockout: Set at a traditional Shaolin Temple, Knockout comes with a retro twist. “The mid-sized map showcases a sharp contrast between the mid-range engagements of the traditional exterior architecture and the tight close-quarters of an eclectic 1970’s-styled interior.”
Verge: This is the reimagining of the classing Call of Duty: World at War map, Banzai map. Verge will drop you in the middle of combat set in a distant post-apocalyptic future. Two warring factions will engage in combat to control the bridge, fortress, tunnel and waterfall systems.
Continuing their fight to stop the zombie apocalypse, Treyarch’s Origins characters will face new threats on a World War II-era Pacific island. But don’t let looks fool you — this is no tropical paradise. Experiments with Element 115 have had horrifying effects on human, animal, and plant biology, and you’ll have to fight them all. Zetsubou No Shima also introduces new transport mechanics, devastating traps, and classic Zombies side quests.
Black Ops 3 is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC.
