Nintendo has confirmed that Pokemon Snap is coming to Wii U eShop starting next week.
Originally released for Nintendo 64 back in 1999, Pokemon Snap on the Wii U virtual console will support the GamePad, Classic Controller Pro, or the Wii U Pro Controller.
Fans have been asking for a sequel for a long time and have not received any so this has to do for the time being, however, the only catch is that the Wii U virtual console version is only announced for Japan.
As mentioned earlier, the game will land in the eShop starting next week and will be priced at ¥1,028 which is around $8.99 USD. Currently there is no word from Nintendo whether the game will make it to western territories or not, but the hopes are high.
Unlike mainstream Pokemon games, as the name suggests, Pokemon Snap essentially tasks players with taking photos of various Pokemon in their natural habitat which is fun in its own right!
