With the kick-off of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Sony and Naughty Dog are also taking the opportunity to advertise Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with a 30 second trailer wherever the Zack Snyder superhero movie is being shown.
The adventure of Nathan Drake will continue in the latest installment, set to arrive in May, and Sony wants everyone who watches Batman vs Superman to know just what’s in store.
The trailer being showing in theaters is completely CGI, but it does a fine job of capturing the tone of the game, and also of the series itself. It’s called the ‘Heads or Tails’ trailer, with a typically injured and battered Nathan Drake pondering over his life choices as he tosses a gold coin in a pile of many others while in a burning building.
Granted, Nathan Drake doesn’t have the alien abilities of Superman nor the futuristic tech of Batman, but he’s got other superhero-ish attributes that kind of make the trailer relevant… in a weird, forceful way.
This isn’t the first time Uncharted 4 is getting some ad time in theaters; an older trailer of the game was also played in cinemas before the start of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, back in December.
Nathan Drake’s final shenanigans will be at full display for everyone to experience when the game releases exclusively for PS4 on May 10. You can watch the trailer here.
