With all the hype that CD Projekt Red has gathered after the success of The Witcher 3, all the more people have their eyes set on Cyberpunk 2077. The last time the developers talked about it was when they teased it was bigger and revolutionary, but far away.
Some of that is going to change the next time CD Projekt Red talks about it. Marcin Iwinski, the chief executive officer at CDPR was recently talking about the dystopian futuristic world based game when he mentioned the expectations and the responsibility they feel towards the fans.
In light of all that, he also added that although they have not shared anything about the game at the recent events, when they do talk about Cyberpunk 2077 the next time it “must be f**king great.”
Right now, we have the success of the Witcher 3; people played it and people loved it. So it’s even more responsibility. The fact that Witcher 3 performed so well allows us to be even more ambitious with Cyberpunk 2077. Right now, it’s on our shoulders to deliver here. The next time you hear about Cyberpunk 2077 we will show something and it must be f**king great.
Iwinski agreed that the fan base is expecting something really great and “that’s what we have to stand up to and deliver.”
Well, looking at how CD Projekt Red has handled The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, we have our confidence in them, and when the studio’s CEO says they know what they have to deliver, it gives us even more assurance that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be an amazing experience.
