The Fallout 4 Automatron DLC will finally be released tonight across most of the world on PC, Xbox One, and the Playstation 4, according to a tweet by Pete Hines, the vice president of public relations and marketing at Bethesda.
PC players will get the Fallout 4 Automatron DLC when it releases tonight, Monday, March 21, at midnight. There will be two different midnights; one, Midnight Eastern Standard Time in North America, and Midnight in Europe, on local time.
Xbox One players will get it at the same time: Midnight Eastern Standard Time for North America, and midnight local time for Europe.
American Playstation 4 players will have to wait just a bit longer, unfortunately. The Fallout 4 Automatron DLC will be releasing at 1 PM, Eastern Time, tomorrow. Playstation 4 players in Europe, however, will also be getting it at midnight local time.
The Fallout 4 Automatron DLC will be the first of the downloadable content packs released for Fallout 4. The Sole Survivor, meaning your character, will be confronting a new threat to the Commonwealth in the form of the Mechanist, a character from Fallout 3 that specialized in building robots.
In order to fight the Mechanist, the Sole Survivor will gain the ability to make robots of their own, using a variety of designs from the robots confronted in the game, ranging from Sentrybots, to Assaultrons, to Protectrons, to the Robobrain, which is returning from the other Fallout games after the vanilla version of Fallout 4 left it out.
While you apparently can’t build robots from scrap, you do have the options to customize your two robotic companions: Your faithful Mr. Handy butler Cogsworth, and Ada, an Assaultron that will become a new companion in the DLC.
Fallout 4’s Automatron DLC will cost $9.99 or the regional equivalent when it releases at the various times listed above. Good luck, my fellow Wasteland wanderers.
