The Warcraft movie will be released on June 10th 2016, and we have now been treated to a new Warcraft movie trailer that will be hitting television screens this weekend. Take a look at the first Warcraft trailer here.
The movie will be set on the video games and novels set in the fictional world of Azeroth. The plot will center around the beginnings of the interaction between humans and orcs, with the story told from both races.
Here is a short summation taken from Wikipedia:
Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization, led by the humans, faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying world of Draenor to find their place in another. As a gateway known as the Dark Portal opens to connect the two worlds, the humans face destruction while the orcs face extinction. Anduin Lothar , leader of the humans, and Durotan, leader of the orcs, are then sent on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.
The new Warcraft movie trailer doesn’t show too much as you’d expect, with very heavy CGI elements included throughout, but the locations and action are of a grand scale and should provide a thrilling experience when viewed in a cinema.
The movie is produced in part by Blizzard Entertainment themselves and will feature many locations and characters from the World of Warcraft game series as well as its spin-offs such as Hearthstone, with characters like Gul’dan, Medivh and Grommash Hellscream all making an appearance.
Watching the film could even bag you five expansions for the World of Warcraft game, as well as a month’s game time.
The production of the film doesn’t seem to be garnering too much excitement from fans so far, despite the million upon millions of players that have ventured into World of Warcraft but perhaps as the film nears its release the anticipation will grow along with it.
What do you think of the new Warcraft movie trailer (teaser to be precise), can’t wait?
